Worried about the potential loss of property values, the Robson's eventually invite Ikaris inside to learn more. Upon finding Toby in Eternals #3, the boy's parents are naturally bewildered as to why there's a superhero floating above their home. Related: Thanos Returns To Marvel Comics, Ignoring Everything The MCU Changed However, Ikaris makes the decision to depart from this alliance in order to find the child from his vision known as Toby Robson, a 13 year-old boy who apparently dies due to his apparent failure in the future. They're also determined to figure out which Eternal might have turned traitor and helped Thanos kill Zuras.

While Ikaris barely escaped a brawl with Thanos in the second issue thanks to the help of Sprite, he then joins a coalition lead by Sersi to repair the Eternals' Great Machine.

Thus far in the series from writer Kieron Gillen with art by Esad Ribić, the Eternals are scrambling to form alliances after Zuras' death, and trust is wearing thin. As such, the boy's parents are extremely confused, which leads to a rather savage dig on the Silver Surfer made by the mother (and Ikaris himself). Despite the Prime Eternal Zuras dying in a more permanent means than the Eternals are used to, the mighty Ikaris has oddly chosen to protect a seemingly insignificant human boy he has seen in a vision. In Marvel Comics' Eternals, Thanos the Mad Titan has declared war on the immortal beings, but the Eternals themselves have also just declared war on Silver Surfer fans.
